Hrithik and Kangana on Farah’s show

Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut were on Farah Khan’s chat show, Tere Mere Beach Main, where both actors talked about their struggles before finding a spot in Bollywood.

The star son had a stammering problem at age six, and said, ‘I faced a lot of teasing and had embarrassing moments. The first thing is that you have to accept the fact that you have the problem.’ Hrithik then started practising words, which he still does every day for at least an hour. He said that he may skip a workout but he never misses his speech exercises.

The actor also had severe back problems when he was 21. ‘The doctors told me that I could become an actor and I gave up everything. As an actor, you have to do stunts and dance too which is impossible if your back is not okay.’ Hrithik went into depression for a year. One day, however, he decided to start running and gradually his back became better. The actor believes thinks that if he had not faced any problems in his life, he would never have become an actor.

The second part of the show featured Kangana. The actress’s family appeared on TV for the first time and spoken about their daughter. Kangana too talked about her struggler days and how people often asked her to change her look and undergo surgery, which she never did. ‘When I was modelling people with accents often got more work than me, and I used to be surprised at that. But I never gave up,’ she said. Kangana also admitted that she does not have too many friends in the industry because of her nature.

Tere Mere Beach Main starts on August 23, and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 9pm on Star Plus. Each episode will have a combination of two very different stars who will chat with Farah Khan.
