Who has the hottest body on television?
Following the current trend of working out religiously for the perfect body and chiseled abs, TV stars can easily compete with their Bollywood counterparts when it comes to being fabulously fit. And to prove this, we picked out six tele stars who we think have really hot bodies.
Akashdeep Saigal: Though the actor has no project in hand as of now, he gets our vote for the best body on television. If you doubt it, just look that his perfect biceps, abs and chest. However, recently we weren’t too pleased on seeing him sport a leaner look.
Hussain is a fitness freak. He works out almost everyday and maintains his diet religiously. And he doesn’t have just a great body but a handsome face and talent to boot. And though he sports a six pack, it’ll be quite hard to catch the modest actor showing it off.
Karan Singh Grover: His best feature is definitely his abs, which is one of the reasons girls go crazy over him. Proud of his physique, Karan usually dresses to show off his body. And if that’s not enough, he also sports a big tattoo on his arm to attract more attention from the ladies.
Shabbir Ahluwalia: His body may not be bulky but there’s no denying that Shabbir is a hunk. Indian clothes especially pathani and kurtas suits his look and he has the height to carry them off. His lean frame, unkempt stubble and long hair make him ruggedly handsome
Aamir Ali is always telling everyone how much he likes to work out and maintain his toned physique. Though he is a foodie, he tries to follow his diet regularly. His best feature is his biceps that make even those casual tee shirts of his look sexy.
Arjun Bijlani: His simple image and his well built body make him look like the perfect man onscreen. We have already seen him performing stunts in his earlier show Left Right Left, where he played cadet, so we know that this handsome hunk can put his muscles to good use.
Amit Tandon: Though he is a singer, he is also keenly interested in maintaining his body. He is a great fan of Salman Khan and his bulging muscles prove this. He has tattoos on his biceps which add to his beefed up look.

Bride-to-be Daljit Kaur tells us, “Yes, it’s true that we’re both finally getting married. This is the most memorable event of my life which I will never forget. I don’t want to disclose the wedding date but I can tell you that it’ll take place in the first half of December. It is going to be grand with an engagement, sangeet and mehndi. We are excited and nervous.”
The wedding will take place in Jabalpur as it is a central location for both of them. “Most of my relatives are from Punjab and his too live in Jabalpur and nearby. We had earlier thought of marrying in Pune but changed the venue after much discussion.”
Daljit adds, “I will be leaving for Pune on October 8 because it’s my official maayka and I want to invite my friends and prepare for the wedding. My designer Bhavna has already started working on my wedding outfit, which I want to be traditional with a modern touch; she is roaming all over India to get it right. Her boutique is in Juhu and she has also designed outfits in films like Gadar – Ek Prem Katha and Legend of Bhagat Singh.”
The actress plans to continue working after marriage. “His parents have no objection to serials but my shooting timings needs to be adjusted because after marriage your priorities change. I want to become the perfect bride in Shaleen’s family, and I am happy that I have such good in-laws and a good life partner.
The couple hasn’t decided on the honeymoon spot yet. “There are lots of places so we just have to choose one. I don’t want Shaleen to extend his leave from shooting so we may go a month after our wedding. I would love to go to a cold place.”

Hrithik and Kangana on Farah’s show
Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut were on Farah Khan’s chat show, Tere Mere Beach Main, where both actors talked about their struggles before finding a spot in Bollywood.
The star son had a stammering problem at age six, and said, ‘I faced a lot of teasing and had embarrassing moments. The first thing is that you have to accept the fact that you have the problem.’ Hrithik then started practising words, which he still does every day for at least an hour. He said that he may skip a workout but he never misses his speech exercises.
The actor also had severe back problems when he was 21. ‘The doctors told me that I could become an actor and I gave up everything. As an actor, you have to do stunts and dance too which is impossible if your back is not okay.’ Hrithik went into depression for a year. One day, however, he decided to start running and gradually his back became better. The actor believes thinks that if he had not faced any problems in his life, he would never have become an actor.
The second part of the show featured Kangana. The actress’s family appeared on TV for the first time and spoken about their daughter. Kangana too talked about her struggler days and how people often asked her to change her look and undergo surgery, which she never did. ‘When I was modelling people with accents often got more work than me, and I used to be surprised at that. But I never gave up,’ she said. Kangana also admitted that she does not have too many friends in the industry because of her nature.
Tere Mere Beach Main starts on August 23, and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 9pm on Star Plus. Each episode will have a combination of two very different stars who will chat with Farah Khan.

Heartbreak couples
Just like the serials, the television industry has its fair share of romance off screen too, with actors pairing up, proclaiming their love and even participating in reality shows together, generating a collective ‘aww’ from viewers everywhere. But with love comes heartbreak and for a few, breakups are inevitable- though they usually happen in a less flamboyant manner. We take a look that the pairing of TV actors that unfortunately, have not stood the test of time.

There was plenty junk food and mum ad stopped all chocolates at home. Here, I was free and ate though it was comfort eating and I also gained weight due to hormonal imbalances. I went from 50 kilos to 90 kilos in jus 4 months. I gained 40 kilos. I used to eat 1 pint icecream, two large pizzas alone and instead of three meals would have 10 meals a day. My mum started crying seeing me.’
She later added, "When Sanjay Leela Bhansali saw me, he said that I look like a painting from Ajanta. Don’t lose weight, you have those curves." And, that’s when Farah quipped,"Tum Ajanta ki painting thi ki poori Ajanta ki cave thi?"

Yash Tonk thrilled with Main Aur Mrs Khanna
Yash Tonk of Karam Apna Apna fame is on cloud nine these days as he is working with the Khan brothers in Main Aur Mrs Khanna. The actor is playing Sohail Khan’s best friend in the film.
We spoke to his wife Gauri, as Yash is in Pataya shooting for his next film. “He has a really good role in Main Aur Mrs Khanna. He plays Sohail Khan’s best friend and is also a parallel lead in the film. Both Sohail and Salman Khan had personally approached him for this role and felt that he would do justice to his character,” she says.
This is not the first time that Yash has worked with Sohail and Salman. He had earlier worked with Sohail in Fight Club; he was also offered a role in God Tussi Great Ho but had to back out the film due to his TV assignments. Gauri adds, “Whenever they feel that the character suits him, they call him. We are family friends.”
We asked Gauri about Yash’s item number with Preity Zinta. “He looks so different in the song and I think it’s the most happening song in the town right now,” she says. “We have got good feedback from our family friends and I am sure audiences will be happy to see him in this new avatar.”

Khatron Ke Khiladi level 2--Nauheed Cyrusi
‘I wanted to change my image’
Nauheed Cyrusi made it quite far in Khatron Ke Khiladi level 2, and was one of th
e final six contestants.
Nauheed Cyrusi made it quite far in Khatron Ke Khiladi level 2, and was one of th
e final six contestants.
Though the other girls on the show claim there wasn’t much bitching or plotting going on, Nauheed Cyrusi says she initially felt like she was being targeted because she and her partner ended up doing most of the stunts first. “This was a big disadvantage, because when you go in the middle or towards the end, you have seen others performing the stunt, which gives you some confidence.” She adds, “Initially, for most of the stunts, my partner and I were being sent first and it started getting to me; I started to think I was being targeted. After some time, the issue was resolved as the other girls started going first.”
The model-actress says she is quite adventurous, unlike the goody-goody image she has. “You don’t get too many opportunities like this. Everyone thought I was delicate and wouldn’t be able to perform the stunts, so I wanted to change that perception about me. Convincing my family was the only issue but they also agreed.”
What was the most difficult stunt to do? “The stunt on a plane really scared me. I had to walk from one wing of the plane to the other, with the help of a rope. I wasn’t sure I would be able to take control of the situation. I had first thought it wouldn’t be that difficult but the wind made it tough to hold. I thought I was going to lose my balance when the plane was thousands of feet in the sky. I was petrified.”
Like her co-contestants, Nauheed too is all praise for host Akshay Kumar. “Akshay is stunning; he is fit, physically and mentally. I had heard that he was fabulous, and after being with him on the show, I am convinced there could be no better host than him. He’s also witty and approachable off-screen. He gave us all funny weird nicknames – I was Nani, Carol was Kaushalya, Shonali was Shastriji, and so on.”

Akshay talks about Blue
The Khiladi is unstoppable, we had a tough time trying to nail him down for a tête-à -tête on his current obsessions- stunt mania and Blue. When StarBoxOffice caught up with him, which was nothing short of a miracle, he got down to business straightaway- we were on the cue. He spoke of his dare-devil stunts in Blue. | |
What makes Blue such a big gamble for you? Action adventure is my forte, but this was a whole new ball game altogether. It was life threatening stunts for me. I could have lost my life also while performing it, because they took me underwater and I literally had to fight with some goons underwater -150 ft without oxygen and they made me remove my life supporting oxygen tank. My glasses were also taken away. The bad guys were equipped and I had to fight like a film hero- bare knuckled. I could not see properly, had to spend a lot of time under water, got nicks and cuts several times, but what an adventure! |

Ekta Kapoor threw a bash last weekend at her Krishna Bungalow, where the theme was beach wear. Indya got an inside look at who wore what, here’s what we think
Urvashi Dholakia either didn’t understand the theme of the party or she came to the wrong party. This dark grey satin dress is just awful. She has put on a lot of weight, which this dress doesn’t flatter.
