Just like the serials, the television industry has its fair share of romance off screen too, with actors pairing up, proclaiming their love and even participating in reality shows together, generating a collective ‘aww’ from viewers everywhere. But with love comes heartbreak and for a few, breakups are inevitable- though they usually happen in a less flamboyant manner. We take a look that the pairing of TV actors that unfortunately, have not stood the test of time.

Shweta Tiwari and Raja Chaudhary How long: They parted ways after eight years of marriage. Reasons for partying ways: Shweta accused Raja of ‘domestic violence’ and filed a petition for divorce against him. Current status: Both of them are single as of now.   Narayani Shastri and Gaurav Chopra How long: Four years. Reasons for partying ways: Narayani wanted to get married to Gaurav while he refused, wanting to concentrate on his career instead. Current status: Narayani is single while Gaurav is presently dating Mouni Roy.   Kavita Kaushik and Karan Grover How long: Two and a half years. Reasons for partying ways: Both refused to disclose the exact reason, saying that they preferred to move on quietly. Current status: Both are single.   Pooja Bedi and Hanif Hilal How long: Two years. Reasons for partying ways: Both took a mutual decision to part ways as Hanif wanted to concentrate on his work. Current status: While Hanif is single, Pooja is dating Adnan Sami.   Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek Awasthi How long: One year. Reasons for partying ways: Rakhi always complained of Abhishek’s possessive nature. She accused him of inhibiting her right to wear short dresses and mingle with other men. Current status: While both of them are single, Rakhi is all set to mingle with her reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar winner elesh   Mona Singh and Karan Oberoi How long: Four years. Reasons for partying ways: Both of them wanted to concentrate on their careers. Current status: Both of them are single.   Naman and Megha How long: Four months. Reasons for partying ways: They claimed to be a couple but came together only for Nach Baliye 4 and parted ways soon after the show ended. Current status: While Naman is single; Megha is dating Vishal, the director of Mile Jab Hum Tum.   Gunjan Walia and Sachin Verma How long: They have been married for a year and a half. Reasons for partying ways: Both decided to keep their lips sealed on the issue, stating that it is a ‘personal matter’. Current status: They are heading for a divorce and hence, both are single now.
